Current opportunities available include the roles below, these are full time positions, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, training will be provided:
CAD Technician
The ideal candidate will translate architectural drawings and client specifications into practical, build-ready designs using CAD/CAM software, specifically SolidWorks with Swood plugin. You will play a critical role in the production process by creating detailed working drawings and CNC machine files coordinating with the manufacturing team and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and document design specifications, instructions, and meeting outcomes with the Project Manager.
- Translate architectural drawings into practical, buildable joinery designs that meet client requirements and building regulations.
- Create 3D models and 2D technical drawings using Swood for SolidWorks.
- Prepare and issue working drawings with automatically produced CAM files for the manufacturing team.
- Liaise with workshop/manufacturing staff during handover to ensure accurate translation of designs into production.
- Revise designs and drawings in response to client, architect, or production feedback.
- Address limitations of materials, technologies, and joinery techniques during the design process.
- Stay current with developments in CAD software, woodworking techniques, and material technologies.
- Select appropriate materials using available databases and knowledge of their properties and performance.
Qualifications for CAD Designer
- Degree or Certifications in related field (preferred)
- Carpentry Experience/ Woodwork experience (Preferred)
- 2+ years experience utilizing 3D CAD software (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- IT skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner

Production Operative - Joinery
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team, focusing on the selection and preparation of timber for high-quality carpentry and joinery projects. Working as part of a small, skilled workshop team, you will play a key role in ensuring that only the best materials are used in our bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and interior joinery work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate timber stock.
- Operate woodworking machinery and tools as needed (training provided).
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including correct manual handling techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient timber storage and prep area.
- Support general workshop duties as required, including assistance in assembly and finishing when needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess timber quality visually and by touch.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving timber safely.
- Self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
Preferred:
- Experience in carpentry, joinery.
- Familiarity with woodworking machinery (planers, saws, etc.).
- Forklift licence or manual handling certification (can be provided if not already held).

Spray Painter
We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter with extensive experience in the preparation and finishing of timber using a range of modern techniques and materials. The required candidate must be proficient in the use of air assisted airless spray guns and cup guns for applying high-quality finishes, including stains, lacquers, sealers, and oils, across both solid timber and veneered surfaces.
Key capabilities include:
Surface preparation: meticulous sanding, filling, and pre-treatment of timber to ensure a smooth, consistent substrate ready for finishing.
Staining expertise: skilled in mixing and applying stains to match specification or sample, enhancing grain definition and achieving uniform color across batches.
Spray finishing: experienced in using air-assisted airless spray systems for efficient, high-quality application in production environments, alongside cup guns for detail work, smaller projects, and fine finishing requirements.
Oil finishing: extensive hands-on experience applying premium wood oils such as Osmo, Rubio Monocoat, and Levis oils, both by hand and spray, ensuring long-lasting, natural-looking finishes that meet high-end architectural and furniture standards.
Product and process knowledge: deep understanding of finishing systems tailored to wood species, usage environment, and desired aesthetics—including waterborne, solvent-based, and hardwax oil systems.
In addition to technical excellence, the candidate needs to ensure that standards are maintained, maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, ensuring materials are properly handled, and that the finishing department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working on wood finishing of joinery products and bespoke furniture products.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

The successful candidate should have the following personal qualities:

Essential Criteria
- Full clean driving licence
- Have some experience in the construction and/or carpentry & joinery industry
C1 licence an advantage
The key responsibilities in this role are:
- Help with the manufacture and delivery of bespoke joinery and furniture
- Assist with Workshop organisation
- Assisting carpenters on projects
- Assisting with deliveries to site.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
Salary is dependent on experience level and assistance with relocating can be provided.
